I imported this layout into Train Player (trainplayer.com) "laid track on it and operated trains. The only change I made was to add a continuous run connection across the doorway to the second track at the industry on the left. Sometimes you just want to let a train run. On a real layout I would continuously run a train, passenger, railbus, or even a through freight and operate a mine run, log train, or local switcher around it.

Thanks for the cool ideas. I have been looking for an operational feature to use in a corner and the Dolly Varden Mining co. seems to fit my specifications. The lower left corner is what caught my eye. By the way I lived in Sitka AK for 28 years and and now am out of the rain and living in Lewiston ID. Home of the famous Camas Prairie RR. I would be happy to exchange info. BILL
